From September 23rd to 25th, a member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee and Premier, Keqiang Li arrived in Henan –the central plain where he served as party secretary and lived for seven years. Accompanied by the secretary of provincial party committee Gengmao Guo, and Henan Governor Fuzhan Xie and others, Premier made in-depth tours to Luoyang, Xuchang and Zhengzhou, discussing and observing the reform, development, people's attitude, and people's livelihood all the way along, and visiting the previous places to observe changes.
"Terminal 2 of the 2nd phase project of Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport is the largest single project of the province since the founding of New China. If coupled with the Ground Traffic Center (GTC), Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport is simply a 'Big Mac'". In the morning of September 24th, on the construction site of the Terminal 2, with a smile on his face, the Premier listened and nodded to the introduction, and kept looking around the broad construction scene, looking forward to the bright future presented by this international air cargo hub. He told the engineering supervision unit that they must ensure the quality of the project, and ensure the project become a landmark and last for centuries for the benefit of people.
Premier Keqiang Li stated that this air hub of Zhengzhou Xinzheng Airport, should not only be built to be the largest in Henan, but hopefully it would also become one of the largest three-dimensional modern integrated transport hubs in the country. Currently, the cost of China's logistics is relatively high, and it can be lowered via the construction of high-standard transportation hubs, so that the cargo can be transported smoothly and people can travel conveniently.
Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport is
located in central Henan province, it is the main transport airport, the
national first-class aviation port, and one of the eight regional hub airports
that determined by Civil Aviation Administration of China. The international
freight routes of the "Belt and Road Initiative" from Zhengzhou
Airport to the three continents of Asia, Europe and America has been generally
confirmed, with a total freight routes of up to 31. The growth rate of
Zhengzhou Airport cargo traffic is top of the world, and the airport is building
an air Silk Road connecting the world.
On November 21st 2011, the National Development and Reform Commission approved the expansion project of Phase II of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport. The current project is designed by the target of meeting the throughput capacity of 29 million passengers and throughput capacity of 500,000 tons of cargo by year 2020. The main construction content includes: the grade of flight zone is 4F, and a second runway and taxiway system of 3,600 meters long would be constructed on the north side of the current runway; the newly built Terminal 2 would cover 484,500 square meters, constructed with supporting facilities of air traffic control, fuel and other related production facilities. The total investment is of 13.64 billion RMB.
Wherein, Terminal 2 looks like an "X" in plan view, as opening arms, and it is formed respectively by the main building of the terminal, the corridors of the southeast, northeast, southwest and northwest, and the passageways inside. It is a 4-storey terminal building that could serve both domestic and international travelers.
Currently, our company is responsible for the construction of the bid-winning project of the expansion of Phase II of Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport Terminal 2.
